National Military Support Month takes place in May. During the month, you will have ample opportunities to show your support at the National D-Day Memorial. Check out some events and pick one or two to attend during National Military Support Month.

Stars and Stripes Forever: Patriotic Concert at the National D-Day Memorial

Listen to some patriotic music at the Stars and Stripes Forever: Patriotic Concert at the National D-Day Memorial on May 26th. The concert starts at 7 and includes three hours of patriotic tunes performed by the Jefferson Choral Society and the Chorus of the Blue Ridge. Bring your own chair to the event so you can kick back and relax while listening to the music. Don’t be surprised if you leave the chair from time to time to get on your feet, though. The music will be inspiring, so it will be hard to stay seated through the entire concert.

Remembering Their Sacrifice

The National D-Day Memorial is hosting the Remembering Their Sacrifice event for Memorial Day on May 29th. It will begin at 11 AM, and features keynote speaker Herschel “Woody” Williams. Williams is one of six surviving World War II Medal of Honor recipients. Be sure to come by and listen to him speak.

With so much to do during National Military Support Month, you need to make sure you have reliable transportation. Otherwise, you might miss out. Visit Berglund of Bedford Buick GMC in Bedford, Virginia, to upgrade your ride. Then, you will be ready to go to all of these events.
